Procedures for Animal Behavior Core

  1. There are two areas, “Core Laboratory of Mouse Behavior in East Animal Area” and “Core Laboratory of Mouse Behavior in Tuzi Animal Area” in YM campus.
  2. Use of animal source: Rats and mice that are kept in animal centers and temporary rooms and whose health monitoring is qualified
  3. Core Laboratory of Mouse Behavior in Tuzi Animal Area : The mice are kept in rooms D1-D6 Core Laboratory of Mouse Behavior in East Animal Area: The mice are kept in rooms ER2
  4. The instrument is managed by Mr. Zheng Hanruo from the Brain Research Center
  5. Before using it, you must take the class “Animal Center Use Instructions” and pass the test, and the animal center veterinarian will explain the rules for using the animal room before you can make an appointment.
  6. Core Laboratory of Mouse Behavior in Tuzi Animal Area:
    1. forced swim
    2. Photobeam activity system (open field)
    3. Elevated plus maze/ Water maze / T maze
    4. Rotamax / Startle Reflex
    5. Active/passive avoidance and running wheel system
    6. Stereotaxic
  7. Core Laboratory of Mouse Behavior in East Animal Area:
    1. Tail- Flick analgesia meter (Incremental hot/cold plate analgesia meter)
    2. Conditioned place preference (strength meter)
    3. EthoVision3.1(Water maze)/  T maze / Rotarod Treadmill
    4. Ultrasound recording system /Photobeam activity system(open field)
    5. Digital Stereotaxic
